Mint Fest comes to Church Fenton Airbase

Leeds Mint Festival (a pop/rock festival) will be coming to the Leeds East Airport base on Saturday 22 September, from 10am-11pm.  There is an expected audience in excess of 15,000 people.  The PC are currently working with the organisers to ensure that this event will not have any negative impact on our local community.  A detailed traffic management plan, of any possible road closures, access and EGRES points will be shared with the PC in the coming weeks.  Nearer to the time, the organisers will create an information leaflet which will be provided to the Clerk with an emergency contact number on the day and access routes.  This will be distributed to all houses in Biggin.

Community Defibrillator now ACTIVE

Following a successful, recent AED Defibrillator training, with 23 residents attending, the machine is now ACTIVE.  Well done to all those involved.  If you would like to get involved with a one day first aid accredited course organised by Biggin PC, please get in touch.  We are currently looking at dates in Sept/Oct for the one day course on a Saturday at Church Fenton Village Hall.  Cost will be £20pp.

Annual Open Meeting & Annual Parish Meeting

Both of these meetings will take place on Wednesday 23rd May from 7.30pm at the Village Hall in Church Fenton.  ALL WELCOME.  This is an opportunity for you to communicate directly with the Councillors who represent you and your Parish.  Come along and put your questions/queries on parish matters.  We welcome your input.
